Soviet Buildings


Construction Yard
Provides: Base construction
Requires: Soviet MCV

The heart of every base is the Construction Yard. This structure is responsible for the creation of all the other buildings in the base from simple walls to the technologically advanced superweapons. Because this building controls the ability to expand the base and acquire new technologies, the wise commander protects it at all costs and at all times.

The Tesla Reactor is the basic Soviet power source using advanced Tesla technology to produce electrical energy. It is not as powerful as the Allied Power Plant and cannot be upgraded, meaning that a large base will require many Tesla Reactors to remain operational if they do not construct a Nuclear Reactor.

Ore Refinery

Provides: Income

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Power
Cost: 2000 Power: -50

Free Unit: War Miner

The Ore Refinery is the core of base economy. Soviet War Miners will return here after they have filled their holds with raw ore to be refined into usable resources, without a miner to transport the ore, the Refineries are useless. As such, every Soviet Refinery constructed also comes with a single War Miner.

Barracks

Provides: Tier 1 Infantry

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Power
Cost: 500 Power: -10

The Barracks is where all infantry units are trained. The Soviet Barracks gives access to Soviet infantry technologies, but it is capable of training any infantry units as long as the enemy technology is captured. By constructing more than one Barracks, infantry can be trained more efficiently, decreasing the time required.

Radar Tower

Provides: Radar

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Power
Cost: 1000 Power: -50

Upgrade: Reinforcement Beacon

The Radar Tower provides the Soviets with their field radar when constructed. This allows them to detect enemy troop movements, call in Spy Plane reconnaissance, and is a requirement for all aircraft and anti-aircraft weaponry.

War Factory

Provides: Tier 1 Vehicles

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Refinery, Barracks
Cost: 2000 Power: -25

The War Factory is where all ground vehicles and some aircraft are built. The Soviet War Factory gives access to Soviet unit technologies, but it is capable of building any country’s units as long as the enemy technology is captured. By constructing more than one War Factory, units can be built more efficiently, decreasing the time required.

Service Depot

During the course of a battle, units will become damaged. Moving them onto the Service Depot will automatically repair them for a small fee. If a vehicle is infected with a Terror Drone, the offending robot can be destroyed by the Service Depot as well.

Shipyard

Provides: Tier 1 Naval

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Factory, Barracks
Cost: 1000 Power: -25

The Naval Shipyard is where all naval units are built. The Soviet Shipyard gives access to Soviet unit technologies, but it is capable of building any country’s units as long as the enemy technology is captured. By constructing more than one Shipyard, units can be built more efficiently, decreasing the time required. Damaged naval units can also be brought here to be repaired.

Airbase

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Factory, Barracks, Radar
Cost: 1500 Power: -25
Unavailable: Russians

A major handicap the Soviets faced when paired up against the Allies was the lack of a real air force. MiGs were only stationed at permanent airfields and only brought into battle when their commando Boris called them in to hit a specific target. Finally the Soviets decided it just didn’t make sense to allow the Allies to rule the skies and started building their own Airbases.

Battle Lab

Provides: Tier 2 technology

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Refinery, Factory
Cost: 1500 Power: -50
The Battle Lab houses higher-level technologies. At one time, it held the most advanced technologies, but this made it exceptionally vulnerable as a prime target. Once the Tech Academy was introduced, the Battle Lab fell to a lower rank in the Soviet tech tree, however, it is still necessary for many of the available technologies.

Industrial Plant

Provides: Vehicle cost reduction, income bonus

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Refinery, Soviet Tech2
Cost: 2500 Power: -200
Limit: 1

The Industrial Plant allows the Soviet War Factories to mass produce their vehicles, significantly reducing the costs involved. In addition, it will continue to operate even when no vehicles are being assembled, manufacturing a small amount of resources.

Nuclear Reactor

Requires: Soviet Con Yard, Radar, Soviet Tech2
Cost: 2000 Power: +2000

Limit: 1

The Soviet Nuclear Reactor is the most productive power source available, putting out ten times more energy than the Tesla Reactor. However, as much as the radioactive core is beneficial as a power generator, it is also hazardous. If a Nuclear Reactor is destroyed, it can spill deadly radioactive waste in a large radius that will kill friend or foe without regard.
